My expertise is in smooth muscle electrophysiology and I have spent my career investigating the molecular identity of factors underlying urinary incontinence. My recent work has integrated molecular biology techniques to investigate the presence of calcium entry pathways, and calcium signaling proteins in the rabbit urethra at both whole tissue and cellular level. I hold both an undergraduate degree and a PhD from Queen’s University (Belfast), and I have published in journals such as the Journal of Physiology and Physiological Genomics.
